Hi!

I'm about to purchase C-Map 4D Max+ for a Axiom 7.
Now I'm wondering what microSD-card should be used for the map?

The retailer said they only have 1GB cards, which for me sounds like a very small amount.

As the Axiom only has one slot, wouldn't it be best to go with 32GB or even larger? They're so cheap today, so why limit to 1GB.

Does it matter? Can the Axiom actually store anything at all on the microSD, or is it only the map?

I thought maps were delivered from C-Map / Navionics ready to use, not having to be set up by the retailer...
Hi DIYglenn
Thankyou for your enquiry,

I have attached a link here which will help, we would always recommend contacting CMAP direct for their recommendations as it is their cartography, however, the AXIOM will accept up to 32gB.

The chart card is not normally used to store other data, since there is always a risk of corrupting the chart data.

There are several ways to buy the charts, download onto your mSD or through a dealer who has the charts pre-loaded onto a card, it varies from dealer to dealer.
Regards

Derek
