I'm going to upgrade my old ST60 instruments. Do I need a new masthead wind transducer or will the one I have for my ST60 work?

Thanks.
Willy,

If I'm understanding correctly, you are seeking to replace a ST60 Wind instrument with an i70S Multifunction Instrument Display (MFID) and are seeking to determine whether the currently installed wind transducer may be retained for use with the i70S MFID. If so and the masthead wind transducer looks like the one pictured below, then the currently installed masthead wind transducer may be interfaced to an iTC-5 Analog Instrument Converter or to an i60 Wind instrument. Should the mast head wind transducer be interfaced to an iTC-5, then the i70S would be used to calibrate wind. Should the the mast head wind transducer be interfaced to an i60 Wind instrument, then the i60 Wind instrument would be used to calibrate wind.

Thanks Chuck. I will be replacing with an i70s. My masthead transducer does not look like the one you pictured so I guess I will replace it.Can you tell me the model number of the transducer I should replace it with? And will I be able to use a new transducer without the iTC-5?
Willy,

Q1. Can you tell me the model number of the transducer I should replace it with?
A1. E22078 is the part number for the masthead wind transducer alone. E22079 is the part number for the masthead wind transducer and masthead block w/50m cable.

Q2. And will I be able to use a new transducer without the iTC-5?
A2. Negative. Analog wind transducers must be interfaced to an iTC-5 or to an i60 Wind instrument.
Good info. Thanks for the help
You're welcome.
