I have an E120 set up as master. It is connected to 4Kw analog Radome 24”, new cup unit (not dsm 300), gps antenna, and 5.62 software update.

My repeated is an E80 with 5.52 software. Connected via SeaTalkhs.

I had not data source message with Radome connected to E120. I checked all voltage and it was 12.7 volts at Radome. Checked all power supplies. I then hooked up Radome directly to E80 and now it works.

Don’t know if it’s software related in E120, the mfd?

Has anyone had this issue? I don’t want e80 to me master unless I have to. Bought the 120 not more than 8 months ago.
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum wrlefevre20,

Q1. I have an E120 set up as master. It is connected to 4Kw analog Radome 24”, new cup unit (not dsm 300), gps antenna, and 5.62 software update. My repeated is an E80 with 5.52 software.
A1. Please note that within systems of networked MFDs, each MFD should be operated with the same version of software for that family of MFDs ... preferably the latest available Raymarine product software update (v5.69). It is accordingly recommended that the E80 MFD's software be updated accordingly.

Q2. Don’t know if it’s software related in E120, the mfd?
A2. Quite possibly. See the response to Q1. It is was also not uncommon for E-Series Classic MFDs to require one or two Factory Reset operations following the v5.52 an v5.69 software updates to permit the radar transducer to become visible to the MFD. Should these actions not correct the issue, then it would appear that the MFD has suffered a failure of its Radar port. Unfortunately, Raymarine's Product Repair Center can no longer provide service for the E-Series Classic MFD.
