I Have a Smartpilot S3 and a Raypilot 650 head unit and an Axiom 9rv setup with SeatalkNG backbone which is all working fine.

Quick question, do I connect the Seatalk1 to SeatalkNG from the SmartPilot S3 or from the Ray650 to my Axiom SeatalkNG backbone? I have both cables (seatalkNG pigtail as well as Seatalk1 to SeatalkNH cable)

Thanks
Hello unixdood,

You can connect the Seatalk to STNG converter cable to either locations. The cable coming off the yellow port on the converter only needs to connect to one point in the Seatalk wiring. If it is more convenient to use the plug and go into a spare port on the 650 we would recommend that. It is also acceptable to take the plug off the end of the cable and wire it to the Seatalk port of the S3. Either way is fine.

Chris,
thanks Chris
