Dragonfly display locking up on downrigger ball

Raymarine had been receiving complaints that the initial versions of Dragonfly software were automatically adjusting the fishfinder's depth range to match that of objects suspended within the water column which generated strong returns (ex. downrigger [censored], schools of bait, organics, etc.). Changes were introduced in the v12.08 Dragonfly software update to better permit Dragonfly displays to automatically adjust the fishfinder's depth range match depth of the bottom depth ( i.e. spot sounding depth) rather than to the depth of objects suspended within the water column which generating strong returns. Following the software update, no settings need be configured by the user to have the Dragonfly display perform as has been specified within this thread. Should you be experiencing automatic depth ranging problems with your Dragonfly display, then it is recommended that updating the display's software with v12.08 or later Dragonfly software be performed to correct this issue.
