The buttons on my p70r suddenly started behaving oddly. No electronics were installed or removed and I don't think I changed any settings.

If autopilot is on and I press the standby button on the p70r then it beeps and continues with autopilot on. If I press standby on the rmk-9 or displays it cancels normally.

If autopilot is on and I press the standby button then it enables auto pilot as if I had hit the auto button.

holding down the stby button just enables auto pilot and wont shut the unit down.

The top left dot key is also behaving oddly. It does not enable track as it appears to be set to do in the menu. When navigating the menus it does not act as a back key, instead it selects the current menu item. Rather frustrating.

Other then those two buttons it's behaving normally.

I've restarted it many times.

Running whatever was the latest software around April 2016.
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Strbass28,

Given the symptoms reported, it would seem that their is a circuitry fault within the keypad of p70R. Accordingly, it is recommended that the p70R be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
