Newly installed e127, nothing i do seems to get the presentation to change from North up, not sure what I am doing wrong.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Mike,
Please verify that the Chart application's Chart Sync feature (MENU->PRESENTATION->VIEW & MOTION->CHART SYNC) has been configured to OFF. Should the problem persist, then it is recommended that one of the MFD's data boxes be configured to display the HEADING data item (not to be confused with the COG data item). After doing so, should the Heading Databox report dashes, then the MFD has not been interfaced to a source of heading data and as such will not support Chart Orientations other than North Up unless the system has acquired a GPS position FIX and the vessel is underway and making way.
