HI,
Im trying to connect a RS120 seatalk to an E80. What is the proper wiring for this? I also have a RS125 and following the wiring for this one, it wont recognise it.
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum unixdood,

Two versions (SeaTalk and NMEA 0183) of the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor were produced by Raymarine and each may be identified by the vinyl medallion affixed to the upper shell of the sensor.

Thanks chuck for the quick reply. So I need that 6 pin connector from the E80 and connect red to red, black to black and yellow to yellow and the RS120 would function properly on my E80?
unixdood,

Should you be seeking to interface the SeaTalk version of the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor to the MFD, then you will indeed need to interface the GPS sensor to the MFD's 6-pin SeaTalk/Alarm Cable. Should you be seeking to interface the NMEA 0183 version of the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor to the MFD, then you will indeed need to interface the GPS sensor to the MFD's 5-pin NMEA 0183 Cable. The leads would not be interfaced in the manner which you have suggested. Please refer to the first chart (labeled SeaTalk) within my initial response regarding how to power and interface the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor.

Should the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor not be operational, then it is recommended that it be replaced with a Raystar 130 GPS Sensor per the FAQ found here.
Perfect chuck.

Thanks again. As usual, you guys are such a great help!
You're welcome.
