My 1982 Stamas 44 has a ST6001 display (apparently upgraded) and a Combi autohelm 5000 which is making horrendous noises that sound like the plastic gear issues noted for the identical looking Raymarine autohelm 5000.
1. Will the N021 metal gear kit fit the Combi?
2. Which Raymarine unit would be the best replacement?
Appreciate any advice.
