I boat from NJ/NY Raritan Bay and we have severe barnacle infestation always.
I have a new CPT-100 Transom Mount Transducer and last season after 6 months on the water it was totally covered to the point of not sensing bottom.
The bottom of this transducer is made of a softer membrane (unlike old hard plastic) and I am concerned on which protection to apply.
I read the manual as to which antifouling paints we can apply but it also says that 'temperature sensing' may not work'...
Is there a recommended branch/type that can still help ?
Thank you
Marcelo
