While it is technically possible to use a video encoder to convert analog camera video for use with a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, Raymarine has neither tested nor recommended any products for this purpose. The video encoder would have to meet the specification for third party IP cameras found here. As with IP cameras, Raymarine strongly suggests that any such encoders being considered not be purchased without confirmation that encoder may be returned to the vendor for refund. Support for such encoders and third party IP cameras is limited to referencing the customer to the aforementioned specification for third party IP cameras.
