Simultaneously interfacing a DSM30/300 to a C-Series Classic MFD and another MFD

The DSM30 & DSM300 differentiated themselves from the DSM250 (preceeded the DSM30 & DSM300) and the CP370 & CP300 (succeeded the DSM30 & DSM300) in that they had both an hsb2 communications interface and an Ethernet (SeaTalkhs) communications interface. The hsb2 communications interface of the DSM30 & DSM300 was designed to support supplying fishfinder data to hsb2 Pathfinder Series Displays and C-Series Classic MFDs. The Ethernet communications interface of the DSM30 & DSM300 was designed to support supplying fishfinder data to compatible Raymarine MFDs having an Ethernet communications interface (ex. E-Series Classic MFDs, C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs, a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs). However, the design of the DSM30 and DSM300 will not permit it to simultaneously serve fishfinder data to a compatible product which has been interfaced to the DSM's hsb2 port and to another compatible product which has been interfaced to the DSM's Ethernet port.

Should compatible products be interfaced to both the DSM's hsb2 port and to the DSM's Ethernet port and should both products be switched ON, then only the product which has been interfaced to the DSM's Ethernet port will be served fishfinder data. Should the product which has been interfaced to the DSM's Ethernet port be switched OFF, then the DSM will serve fishfinder data to the product which has been interfaced to the DSM's hsb2 port.
