Should AIS targets display on both side of a split screen with chart and radar? I can see AIS targets on individual (full screen) chart displays and full screen radar displays, but when I switch to a split screen display with both views, AIS targets do not show on either half.

Should the MFD be interfaced to a source of heading data (verified by ensuring that the HEADING data item is populated), then note that each Radar and Chart application page/pane is designed to be individually configurable with respect to the objects which are displayed within that page/pane. Accordingly, any Chart or Radar application page/pane in which one desires to have AIS targets displayed would need to have the corresponding setting configured ON with that Chart or Radar application page/pane.

Realized overnight that autopilot was not on which supplies heading data.
Set everything on this morning and all displays correctly when AIS setting in Presentation tab is set ON for both panes of split screen.
