so if i was to purchase the non rv3d Axiom would I be able to purchase a software and transducer upgrade to get RV3d on my axiom at a later date?

Thanks for you interest in the soon-to-be-released Axiom MFDs. These MFDs are being offered in three versions:
- without internal fishfinder circuitry ... known simply as an Axiom MFD
- with internal DownVision fishfinder circuitry ... known as an Axiom DV MFD
- with internal RealVision fishfinder circuitry ... known as an Axiom RV MFD
All Axiom MFDs are designed to utilize the same software. The internal fishfinder circuitry of Axiom MFDs is not designed to be upgraded/changed. Should it be desired that the MFD or system of MFDs (Axiom or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs) then an Axiom RV MFD w/RealVision 3Dâ„¢ transducer(s) would need to be included within the system.
