Adding an Axiom MFD(s) to a network featuring third party MFDs

Unfortunately, third party MFDs may not be interfaced to an Ethernet (SeaTalkhs/RayNet) network which also features an Axiom MFD(s). While it is possible to interface the Axiom MFD(s) to a common SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone to which a third party MFD has also been interfaced, communications between the Axiom MFDs and third party MFDs would be limited to alphanumeric, GPS, instrument, navigational, and system status data between these systems. Correspondingly, it is not possible for third party MFDs to share graphical data such as cartography, radar, fishfinder, or Sirius Marine Weather with an Axiom MFD.

Should full functionality dual station or multi-station capability be desired, then it would be necessary to replace the third party MFD(s) with a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs (following the release of LightHouse 3 software for a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs) or Axiom MFDs. Any combination Axiom and a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs (following the release of LightHouse 3 software for a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs) may be installed within a network of Axiom and a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs.
