When flush mounting the Axiom 9 the miro sd slot is difficult to access. Does Raymarine offer an extension that can mounted on the dash and utilize the SD slot in the back of unit.
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum tlacourse,

Q: Does Raymarine offer an extension that can mounted on the dash and utilize the SD slot in the back of unit.

A: It should noted that the Axiom MFDs feature a USB port. Raymarine offers the A80440 RCR - Remote SD Card Reader and USB Socket for such applications. This accessory may be purchased/ordered from an authorized Raymarine dealer.
Where is the USB port?
Stan,

As you can see from the Section 4.1 Connections Overview of the Axiom MFDs Installation Guide, the "Accessory" socket is used to connect the previously referenced Remote USB microSD memory card reader.

Could someone also attach the RCR-SDUSB installation instructions and, if not printed within, say what the constraints are on length of cable of the remote microSD card reader ?

Thank you
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum nurber,

The requested document will be posted on Raymarine's website after it has been released. The RCR-SDUSB will feature a 1m cable. Until released, the A80218 RCR-2 Remote Card Reader (first introduced for gS-Series MFDs) may be used with Axiom MFDs.
