Full Version: SmartController Checksum Error

The remote was disconnected from power over the winter and recharged. In past years, this was not a problem. The battery was replaced a year ago.

This year, however, I get a message Checksum Error with a bunch of zeros. Then it says, Press Any Button. When I do, the screen goes blank and the remote is not responsive. Any advice?

Unfortunately, the reported symptom is indicative of a failure within the SmartController's circuitry resulting in loss of its programming. It is recommended that the SmartController be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
