I'm looking into updating my Raymarine A70D MFD to the Axiom 9. The A70D is recessed into the boat console. Does anyone know if the current A70D cutout needs to be modified in order for the Axiom 9 to fit into the same space? The dimensions of the two units are similar, but not identical.

The surface-mount cutouts for the A70D and Axiom 9 are indeed not identical. Using the links supplied within this response, you can view the surface mount templates for these MFDs. These templates not only contain cutout dimensions but also footprint dimensions.
