It would be exceedingly cool if an MFD were to save its current state for a few minutes when power is cut and resume its route, track, and maintain Surius weather history, etc. when power is restored within a reasonable time limit.

Depending on what is causing the reported loss of power, the proper solution may be isolation of the marine electronics as indicated here. As indicated within the referenced FAQ, the condition responsible for the voltage drop may have adverse effects on your electronics. What is causing the voltage drop?
