since installation i recieve a code 771. changed reciever,changed hdmi cable...codes keeps saying 771 Searching For Satellite (Directv)

any suggestions please

The Direct TV receiver can show that code if it has not downloaded the program guide. If it is showing this code the next thing to do is to go into the Direct TV receiver menu and select repeat sat set up>select the dash button>Select the dish type as 3 LNB (18"x 20") and switch type as multi-switch then press continue>The receiver will then verify the configuration and once it is done select continue and it will download the program guide. As a note in verify configuration is does fail a couple tests which are not relevant and are for a land based system. Disregard those fails they are normal. Once the program guide downloads you will be able to watch the programming from Direct TV.
