I have a customer here with a pretty complicated system of sailing instruments and autopilot currently integrated with a pair of E120's. We would like to upgrade the displays to axiom units and a newer radar dome.

His current sailing inst are:
B&G H3000 units (several) with CPU.
Raymarine 0183 Multiplexer
Simrad AC42 autopilot brain

Is this system going to work with 2 new Axiom displays and dome? We don't need autopilot control on the displays but other info like depth/speed/wind etc would be handy.
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum DesertBoat,

While Axiom Pro MFDs have a NMEA 0183 communications interface as well as a NMEA 2000 communications interface to support interfacing Raymarine and third party products, the Axiom MFDs only have a NMEA 2000 communications interface. It is certainly possible to adapt the NMEA 0183 devices to communicate via NMEA 2000 with an Axiom MFD using products such as the Actisense NGW-1-ISO. The installation instructions for the Simrad AC42 autopilot claims support for NMEA 2000 communications, permitting it to be interfaced as a spur to the a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone to which the MFD will also be interfaced as a spur.
Thank you for the help! Outstanding.
You're welcome.
