I am considering upgrading my existing E120 Classic to an Axiom Pro 12 S and want to use my existing B744V (A80485) which is connected via a DSM300.

The boat is a Back Cove 33 that I use for pleasure cruising; I don't fish. The DSM Fishfinder was installed by previous owner. I would like to continue to use the installed B744V to pick up boat speed, sea temperature, and depth on the MFD.

I am contemplating installing the Axiom Pro 12 S and connecting it to the B774V using the A80485 transducer adapter cable.

Q1. After reading section 4.5 in the Axiom Pro Installation Instruction (10-2017) I believe this is not supported--"Only CPT-S series transducer can be connected to Axiom Pro S variant MFD." Am I reading this correctly? Is this still true?

Q2. May I connect the DSM300 to the Axiom Pro 12 S to get speed, depth, and temperature on the Axiom Pro 12 S?

Q3. If I purchase the Axiom Pro 12 RVX, may I then connect the B744V to MFD using the A80485 transducer adapter cable?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum roriol,

Q1. After reading section 4.5 in the Axiom Pro Installation Instruction (10-2017) I believe this is not supported--"Only CPT-S series transducer can be connected to Axiom Pro S variant MFD." Am I reading this correctly? Is this still true?
A1. Correct. While transducers designed to be directly mated to a DSM30 or DSM300 may be adapted to be mated to an Axiom Pro RVX MFD, these transducers cannot be be interfaced to the Transducer socket of an Axiom Pro S MFD.

Q2. May I connect the DSM300 to the Axiom Pro 12 S to get speed, depth, and temperature on the Axiom Pro 12 S?
A2. Negative.

Q3. If I purchase the Axiom Pro 12 RVX, may I then connect the B744V to MFD using the A80485 transducer adapter cable?
A3. The A80496 transducer adapter cable is used to adapt DSM30/300 transducers to be mated to an Axiom Pro RVX MFD.
Understood. Thank you
You're welcome.
