I have a Garmin Echomap DV54 chartplotter that I would like to connect to my Raymarine ST6001 Course computer and Standard Horizon DSC VHF radio. I would like to know if the attached connection schematic will do the job. Thanks for any input, advice or guidance.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Mark,

Your diagram is incorrect with respect to how devices having a single ended NMEA 0183 communications interface must be connected to devices having a differential NMEA 0183 communications interface. Please click here to view the FAQ addressing this subject.
Thanks, Chuck. Follow-up question: Which device(s) is/are the differential, and which is/are the single-ended?

If you examine the Raymarine product's documentation and/or interface terminals, you will find that the NMEA 0183 input and output ports each feature a pair of terminals ("+" and "-") denoting that the product's NMEA 0183 ports are differential. The Garmin product which you have identified features single ended NMEA 0183 ports.
