I have an ST8001 linked in through Sea Talk. When I turn the knob to change direction a few degrees, it will jump 10-15 degrees and sometimes go in the opposite direction. Can these be repaired or is the ST8001 too old?

Unfortunately, Raymarine's Product Repair Centers can no longer service ST6xxx, ST6xxx+, ST7xxx, ST7xxx+, ST8xxx, or ST8xxx+ Autopilot Control Head. Depending upon the model of autopilot course computer which is installed onboard the boat, it may be possible to replace the autopilot control head with a p70RS Autopilot Control Head.
