I'd like to be able to switch the depth transducer on/off without turning off all the instruments.

Ideally I could put a toggle switch on one of the 5 wires running to the depth transducer, but I'm concerned I would damage the output of the ST60+.

I have a ST60+ Tridata connected to S2 SmartPilot and wind instruments.

Is there a safe way to do this?

Thanks!!
Hi JYLC48

Thank you for your enquiry.

The preferable way to achieve this is to connect the ST60 depth instrument onto a spur off the general SeaTalk bus, then when depth is not required, turn this spur off by switching the red and yellow cores of the SeaTalk to the Depth instrument.

This is recommended, we advise against switching the transducer lines.

Regards
Derek
