Hello,
unfortunately I'm not able to get one of the old Autohelm rate gyro's for my type 300 unit. I just decided to build my own which is actually not that difficult. I know that the rate gyro outputs a signal of +/- 25mV °/sec to the input of the autopilot and that is a 80°/sec type of sensor.
The questions I have are:
Will the voltage increase or decrease while I turn to port?
In addition to the rate gyro the pilot is also equipped with an input for a roll gyro. Will adding a roll gyro further improve the steering performance?
Greetings Onyx
