When the AutoPilot system was new the tiller's linear drive unit could exert sufficient thrust and react adequately to steer the yacht in response to input commands but now can no longer do so.
The tiller moves freely when steering manually with the linear drive unit disconnected.
All of the system's wiring connections have been inspected and are confirmed to be in good condition. The system is not fitted with a rudder position sensor.
The supply to the Course Computer is 12 to 13 volts but the output from the Course Computer is only 5.8 volts when attempting to use the AutoPilot system to steer the yacht.
Software issue number: Version 5

What should we try next to return the system to a usable condition?
