The scaling of the charts do not persist between different apps/screens. If you go back to the home screen (as an example) and return to your navigation chart, the scaling on the screen returns to the original or default setting. When navigating in unknown waterways, this can cause a loss of situational awareness until you can enlarge the screen to the previous setting. In a split screen scenario (2 charts) this takes a non-trivial amount of time.

So...until this is fixed, is there a way of changing the default scaling factor? I have done a number of experiments with no luck. Is there a config file somewhere that can be changed as a workaround?

Please click here to view a thread in which I had previously addressed this subject. Raymarine's MFDs do not feature a default chart range setting. By design, the MFD should revert to same chart range in use when the corresponding Chart application page/pane was last viewed as is the behavior MFDs running LightHouse II software.
