I have a type 1 hydraulic pump and an SPX 30 course computer. Any reason they won't work together? The documentation requires the SPX 30 for a type 2, I assume because of the current requirements. Perhaps the fuse in the SPX 30 should be downsized for the Type 1 drive?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum jfitch,

It is indeed acceptable to use a Type 1 Pump with a SPX30 autopilot course computer.
