Q. Does the Axiom 7 have the capability of displaying local tide information?
A. Yes. In order to display tide and current information, the following criteria must be satisfied:
- the MFD must be receiving UTC time via a GPS position FIX, and
- the MFD's Local Time Offset setting must be configured to match the time zone in which the vessel is operating. The MFD will apply the Local Time Offset to the UTC time when calculating local time
- the MFD must have a Navionics+, Navionics Update, Navionics Platinum Plus, C-Map 4D Essentials, C-Map 4D Max, or C-Map 4D Max+ chart card with memory card reader of one of the system's MFDs
