We tied up at a dock and turned the engines off - and noticed a strange grinding/vibrating noise. On investigation we determined that it was coming from the radar unit.

The same noise was heard when we got back to our dock - I took the following video:

Whilst the radar is still functioning we are concerned that this could be a mechanical issue?

When operating, the radome should be virtually silent and not making the noise portrayed within the video which you have linked. It is recommended that the radome be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
