Is it possible to add an external GPS antenna to an Axiom 9 mfd? I ask this because the location I have available is burried under a hardtop with a full tower above. I don't want to order the Axiom 9 only to find out that the internal GPS reception is poor.

Thank you for your enquiry.

The AXIOM 9 can use an external GPS antenna, the RS150, this is a STng device which can be connected to the STng backbone onboard. Please remember to turn OFF the internal GPS antenna used in the AXIOM 9.
