My current setup is an e127 and e125 networked through both STNG and STHS. I have limited dash space to place both displays listed above and the ST70 control head. Is it possible to commission the autopilot while temporarily adding the ST70 control head to the STNG, remove it after commissioning, and then controlling the autopilot through the e127 or e125?

Unfortunately no.The older X series computer requires the ST70 controller. It will give you an error message if you remove the ST70 from the system.
