I have a pair of ST70 installed in my system.

They both operate as instruments, receiving data from the bus as expected.
However, they both have shown up intermittently (rarely) on the STng bus, when interrogated by my i70 or Axiom Pro S plotter.

Any explanation/resolution gratefully received.

Hi Phil,

The ST70 operate on SeaTalk2 which is an early version of STng, although compatible, there are some STng commends that they are less responsive to. The self identification request from current STng products is slightly different to that which the ST70 expects and so sometimes appears to disregard it, in addition to this, if the STng bus is quite busy, this request from the STng network may get missed by the older products and hence the intermittent nature of the response to the identification request.
