Hello,

I searched the forum but could not find an answer this. I have a NMEA 2K + SeaTalkng backbone network, and I want to add a Smart Controller for my P70s/ACU-100/Wheel Pilot. I have no other older version SeaTalk instruments (Speed/Wind/Depth are all another brand NMEA 2k instruments).

Q1: Can I just us the adapter cable A06048 to add the Smartcontroller as a spur onto a SeaTalkng 5 way connector, or do I need to use the whole converter kit E22158?

Q2: I assume that the SmartController should be able to see the Speed/Wind/Depth that is on the N2K/SeaTalkng network?

Thank you in advance.
Dear NHsail,

Thank you for your query.

You will need to buy the complete E22158 ST1 to STng convertor kit to enable the smart controller to integrate with your STng system. It is the 5 way block that has the software for converting the data.

Your smart controller will be able to see all speed, wind and depth data on the network.

Many Thanks
Louise
