What's the Pro's and cons between Nema2000, and Raymarine Seatalk?
What are the differences.
Thanks.
Dear Fish On,

Thank you for your query.

Are you referring to STng or ST1?

STng is the same data as NMEA2000 but we have our own proprietary sentences, STng is compatible with NMEA2000. STng has its own connector and NMEA2000 uses devicenet, we offer an adaptor cable for ease of integrating the 2 together on the same network.

Seatalk 1 is an older multi-talker, multi-listener approach using serial data at low rates. It is not compatible with NMEA0183 or NMEA2000, however we do offer the ST1 to STng convertor kit (E22158) for integration of the legacy products with our current products.

Many Thanks
Louise
