Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Hotdog7,
The EV-1 CCU is designed to be interfaced to the system via its SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 socket. This socket is designed to accept a SeaTalkng Spur Cable. SeaTalkng Spur Cables are black with a white stripe and feature a white plug (typically on each end) to permit one end of the cable to be plugged into the device and the other end of the cable to be plugged into a spur socket of a T-Piece, 5-Way Connector, SeaTalkng Inline Terminator, or iTC-5 within the system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone.
