Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Frank,
A SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter would not typically be used for this purpose as it alone would not feature a sufficient number of spur (white) sockets. The MFD and Ray50 would each individually be interfaced to a spur socket within the system's powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. A pair of SeaTalkng Spur Cables of appropriate length. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how a simple backbone may be constructed to support interfacing these products to on another.
