Electronics system doesn't have NMEA 0183 interface for VHF radio
As marine electronics systems are transitioning from NMEA 0183 communications protocol to the more recent and superior SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 communications protocol, customers may find themselves having equipment support one or both of these communications protocols. Should one have a DSC VHF radio which only supports 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 communications and GPS data source which only supports SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 communications protocol, then click here to view a previously posted Forum thread which has addressed this subject.
