On my old E120 classic, there Was a ruler feature were you can measure two points anywere on the screen. You can start from your vessel, or choose a spot, to another spot, and it would tell you the exact mileage.
Hopefully this feature can be added to the next lighthouse 3 software update, on future update.

Several features from LightHouse II software (LHII to LH3 Gap Features) remain to be implemented. This and the cursor range and bearing data items are two such features. Raymarine has logged the request for these features which will be considered for inclusion within a future LightHouse 3 software update.
