Unfortunately, it is not possible to do as you have suggested. I would recommend contacting Raymarine's Warranty Manager (warranty@raymarine.com) to see if they can move you into a RD418HD Radome and Digital Radar Cable to replace the Quantum II radome, its power cable, and its Data Cable. I would recommend including a link to this thread.

Hi I would like to report back that after replacing the Quantum 2 with a new HD dome the system is working fine have gone on a number of trips and the radar does not crash when entering a harbor as Quantum always did when hard wired .
