I have a boat with a E120 classic and DSM300 with a airmar p317 transducer.
The DSM LED doesn't indicate any problems and flashes green once every second or so unless I unplug the transducer.
problem is that on the fish finder screen, it doesn't display depth or show the bottom.
any ideas?

Is there a warning displayed on the E120? for example no Data source? If yes, then the problem is communications between the E120 classic and the DSM300, could be a damaged cable, poor connection or maybe fault I/O interface inside the DSM300 or the E120 - in which case the DSM or the E120 will need to be returned to our service workshops for investigation and repair.
