I am unable to engage Wind Mode on a P70S by simultaneously pressing Auto and Standby. Doing so brings up the Display Brightness setting.

I can engage wind mode via the Menu OR by making Wind the left soft-key. Works fine. I prefer the left soft-key to remain TRACK after years of experience with the ST6000.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your enquiry.

The STANDBY + AUTO press for windvane was not enabled in the p70 range of control units, as you point out, the only means to engage windvane mode is the shortcut key on the bottom left of the screen or the menu option.
