Good morning sir .... Please settle an argument ! Can too large an auto pilot hydraulic pump cause problems .. It is agreed that too small a pump can be an issue, is the same true about over sizing the pump ??? thanks in advance Tony t

Thanks for the enquiry.
The answer is yes, too large a hydraulic pump - meaning a pump that outputs too high a flow rate - will move the steering cylinder too quickly and this will lead to rapid rudder movements, oversteering and poor autopilot performance.
