Hello!
Currently Raymarine autopilots do not follow the waypoints of a route automatically. This is very annoying when following a route with many waypoints.
In the past Raymarine said, this is a safety feature to avoid collisions when auto-turning.
On the other hand, you will have collisions, when you miss to acknowledge the turn and your boat is heading straight on an obstacle.
Finally the skipper is responsible in any case.
Other brands allow to auto-follow a route.
Will Raymarine give up this unlogic "safety" in near future?
Missing this feature will be the "showstopper" for the replacement of many Raymarine devices on my boat.
By the way... There have been a lot of requests to unlock the auto-follow in the net during the past years. Maybe Raymarine should listen to their customers - they are the one who buy the products :-)
