Hi. Does the radar turn off automatically when the E7 turns off. Is it okay to not have a switch for the radar?

While Quantum/Quantum 2 radomes will no longer transmit and will go into sleep mode when communications between the system (such as when the MFD's are switched OFF), a small amount of power will continue to be used by the radome to monitor when the MFDs are again switched ON. That said and as specified
here, it is considered to be a best installation practice to power radar transducers from a switched power source which may in turn be switched on/off without affecting the power state of the system's other electronics.
