My i50 Tridata shows:

Test 1 Fail 2

Test 4 Fail 4

What does this mean.

Thank you for help.
Hi Ottogerd

How are you accessing these tests? These are normally used in production.

What is the fault with your display?
Regards
Derek
This tests are shown in the manual:

Problem is: Always over 30, ist start to flasch last, last.

And sometime speed shows 0.
Dear Sir,

The alarm messages that you have reported indicate the i50 has lost a reliable echo from the SeaBed. What transducer are you using and is that transducer new or was it used with some other equipment previously fitted to the boat?

Thanks
Derek
Thank you for your answer.

I got the boat new in May. Trancducer is Airmar.
I attach a foto of the transducer.
Hi Ottogerd,

Thankyou for the picture of the Triducer,

This transducer is connected direct to the transducer connections on the back of the i50 display - correct?

Please verify that the screen or shield cable is NOT connected to the silver dot on the speed connections on the back of the i50.

Can you also verify the face of the transducer is clean and free from any fouling?

Does this happen at any speed, even when stationary?

Regards
Derek
I checked everything and it seams to be ok. I even dived under the boat and checked the transducer. When I turned the paddle by hand one could read speed in the tridata at once.

Might it be, that the transducer is located at a very unsuitable place ?

When I go backwards it starts immideately, forward not always. The boat has a deep bow and the transducer is right behind.

The tridata shos depth till about 30m, than it start to flash last. When I return under about 30m last stops.

Sorry, my English is not so ggod.
Dear Mr Ottogerd,

Thank you for the feedback, is the paddlewheel inserted the correct way round? The flat face of the paddlewheel impeller 'spokes' should be facing the bow. If this is correct, then I suspect the transducer is faulty.

You can test the new transducer by temporarily hanging it over the side of the boat before you install it to test it.
Thanks
Derek
Hi Derek,

thank you for reply.

The arrow on the transducer' cap shows to the bow. Does this mean that position is ok, or is it possible that inspite of this the transducer under it shows in the wrong direction.

Thank in advance.
