Hi I would like to connect my standard Horizon VHF radio to my Raymarine A78 combo unit do I have to have a sea-talk converter or can I connect the nmea wires which will be plugged in the Data socket on the back of my A78 and solder /connect to my gps out wire to my vhf in and gps in wire to my vhs out wire? or do I have to use a sea talk converter? cheers for looking

Please note that a6x MFD and a7x MFDs do not have a NMEA 0183 communications interface. Those seeking to use the MFD to supply GPS data to a VHF radio would be advised to utilize the solution specified within the FAQ found here.
