Are there any future updates to LH2 in the works? The reason I ask is that I really like the sonar functionality of the LH3, in particular the ability to zoom in and out using the touch screen.

No further development for LightHouse II software is planned. The final release of LightHouse II software is v19.03. Those seeking fishfinder features which are exclusively supported within LightHouse 3 software would require fishfinding hardware supporting such (ex. RVX1000 Fishfinder Sounder Module, Axiom RV MFD, or Axiom Pro RVX MFD) and / or a MFD which was capable of running LightHouse 3 software which has in turn been updated with LightHouse 3 software.
