My 218 transmits fine but is not receiving unless the squelch is in the constant static range. The only exception is that weather transmissions are clear. All connections are clean and tight. Any suggestions?

The problem is symptomatic of a VHF radio which is experiencing a problem with its receiver circuitry. It is recommended that the VHF radio be sent to
Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench tested/serviced.
